Standard System Features
| 1. Hinged access shield accommodates larger process equipment when in the up position and when in the down position, optimizes HEPA filter air flow while still providing operator access to the work area in the down position. Features adjustable friction hinges for safe positioning of the access shield. 2. Integrated chemical resistant white polypropylene work surface increases the strength and integrity of the hoods structural body and allows the clean air hood to be placed on any bench or counter top. An optional polypropylene Spill Containment Tray is available (see "optional system features below) if liquids will be present within the hood. 3. Industry leading low noise (nominally 50Dba) type motorized fan HEPA (99.99% efficient @ .3micron) filter unit provides full coverage over the clean air hood for maximum vertical laminar airflow and an ISO 5 (Class 100) work environment. 4. Washable pre-filter, on/off switch for blower operation, *variable speed control and an 8' long power cord. *Note: 2' and 3' wide hoods feature a solid-state speed controller and 4' wide hoods feature a three-speed (low-med-high) switch. |

| Provides the laminar flow clean air hood with direct over work surface lighting for application processing procedures. Also integrates the hood, the light shield and motorized fan filter unit into a single system, while providing the operator with on-demand control of the fluorescent lamp light source. | ||

| • The wrap design of the 304 stainless steel Light Shield directs the fluorescent light at the work surface and not into the eyes of the operator nor directly to the sides • The 304 stainless steel Control Box integrates the hood, the light shield and the motorized fan filter unit into a single, stand-alone system. Features include an on/off switch for fluorescent light operation, an 18" long power cord installed on the HEPA filter unit, a duplex outlet and an 8' long main power cord. One side of the duplex is marked "HEPA filter" and the other side is marked "spare" for connection of another piece of equipment that might be placed next to the Flex™ Laminar Flow Hood • Factory installed with the wire interface between the Light Shield and the Control Box via a liquidtight bulkhead fitting. |
